Jane is a Scottish artist who was formerly based in a fishing village on the North East coast. She studied at Gray's School of Art and The Northern College, Aberdeen, renowned for her distinctive, expressive colourist style, focusing mostly on Highland Cow and Scottish Wildlife portraits, as well as expressive landscapes, abstracts and flower paintings. 'Spearmint Coo' is appealing and humorous with bright, engaging colours, tactile surfaces and richly applied ink acrylics and pen using gestural marks and impasto layering, contrasted beautifully by its dark frame. This piece measures approximately 47cm x 42cm (including the frame).
